As the UN Mission continues a gradual drawdown process, locals of Suakoko District, Bong County, honoured Bangladeshi engineering peacekeepers for their contributions to the people of the area at the end of their tour of duty in April. The Muslim-dominated peacekeepers were honoured for clearing the construction site of the church-sponsored orphanage “Christ’s Children Home”, in addition to constructing a football pitch, laying out of a major street in the town, among others. Adorned in a beautiful African attire, the commander of the Engineering Unit, Lt.- Col. Muhammad Abdul Hamid Shardar applauded the locals for their hospitality during their stay in the county.
