Residents of Careysburg near Monrovia have commended the UN Mission in Liberia for conducting skills training in auto mechanics, masonry, construction, tailoring, computer literacy and machinery aimed at building the capacity of Liberians. The training brought together 26 Liberians who comprised teachers, students, Armed Forces of Liberia personnel, and other residents. Brigadier General Ebiobowei Bonna Awala urged the young Liberians to make good use of their skills and train other people. “ We have been tasked by UNMIL Force Headquarters to ensure that we have an impact on our local Liberian communities through skills to help them develop their country, and this is exactly what Pakistani Engineers-12 Contingent has done,” he said.
