More than 500 Liberians including nursing mothers, the elderly and students from three schools in the Johnsonville Township near Monrovia, benefitted from free medical outreach organized by the UN Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) Jordanian medical team. The event took place on 26 April. The team’s commander, Col. Abdallah Ihmoud, said his contingent’s visit to Johnsonville is a humanitarian gesture from the Jordanian to the Liberian people. The outreach also included training in maintaining good hygiene. The Jordanian team also distributed an assortment of school items to students such as bags, books, pens and pencils. Community members expressed gratitude to the Jordanians for their support.
