Liberia's Vice President, Ambassador Joseph Boakai, and Special Representative Ellen Margrethe Løj pay tribute to UN peacekeepers, including those who paid the ultimate sacrifice in the service of peace in Liberia, Afghanistan, Haiti and other parts of the world at the commemoration of the International Day of UN Peacekeepers at UNMIL headquarters in Monrovia. At a memorial service for fallen colleagues, Ms Løj urged UN staff to continue the legacy of the departed peacekeepers and "wholeheartedly labour towards consolidating peace."
